Eagle Christian Tours hired a new General Manager, Brad Stockton, in May 2023 to help oversee day-to-day operations in the company. General Manager is a crucial position at Eagle as Carson Roes, President and Partner of Eagle Christian Tours, moves into a leadership role that helps the company with future growth and decision-making. Stockton brings years of expertise and leadership experience to this new role at Eagle.
Brad Stockton grew up in Winchester, Tennessee before moving to Rome, Georgia in October 2015. Stockton attended Samford University where he achieved his bachelor’s degree in Business Management. At Samford, he also met his wife, Kit. Kit now serves as an Optometrist at both Harbin Clinic and New Vision in Rome, Georgia. After his time at Samford, Stockton pursued two Masters’s degrees at the University of Alabama Birmingham, one in Health Administration and another in Business Administration. Prior to Eagle, Stockton’s career has been deeply rooted in the healthcare administration industry for 15 years. Stockton spent 6 years in Rome, Georgia at Redmond Regional Medical Center where he served as Chief Operating Officer. Brad and Kit have two boys, Ford (6 years old) and Wills (3 years old), and enjoy living in the Rome, Georgia community.
While many think the motorcoach industry and healthcare industry are very different, Stockton sees similarities. Motorcoach operations and healthcare require high hospitality and customer service, two areas in which Stockton thrives. Caring for guests and staff members, showing hospitality, leading, coaching, and mentoring others are the key areas that drive Stockton in previous roles within healthcare administration and the motorcoach industry. Stockton has succeeded in the healthcare industry in building a strong culture, staff camaraderie, and teamwork to help meet critical objectives and grow leaders. He believes that building strong teams is what pushes a company forward to achieve desired results, especially in times of growth such as the growth that Eagle is experiencing in the charter bus industry. With career changes come many opportunities for growth in industry knowledge, Stockton is excited to learn everything he can about the motorcoach industry, travel logistics, transportation metrics, customer satisfaction objectives, and everything in between.
When asked what led Stockton to choose Eagle in his next job venture, he confidently answered, “The culture is what brought me in. I identified with the mission, vision, and values of Eagle, and immediately saw the core values played out as early as the interview process.” Eagle’s core values are broken into three pillars, driven, humble, and kind. These three values are how Eagle operates their motorcoach company and is exemplified in their daily business practices. Eagle Christian Tours differs from other charter bus companies in how the business operates and cares for its guests and staff members. “One of the unique things about Eagle is how we serve our guests and strive to give them the best possible experience. That is what differentiates us from our competitors in the charter bus industry,” Stockton said. Stockton is hopeful for both his future at Eagle and in the Rome, Georgia community, “Kit and I are very excited for the opportunity for us to stay in Rome and raise our boys here. Rome has been great to us for the past 8 years and we are looking forward to many more.” The future is bright for Eagle, and Stockton aims to grow in leadership as the company continues to grow.
