Atlanta’s Trusted Partner for K-12 School Travel
Most charter companies think of themselves as transportation. We don’t. Eagle Christian Tours is a hospitality company that happens to operate motorcoaches, and what we do is simple: we host group travel.
That difference shows up in the details. Every student, teacher, and chaperone who steps aboard is our Guest. Our Host-Drivers aren’t just behind the wheel; they’re the face of the trip, trained to welcome, serve, and care for every Guest from the first hello to the final drop-off.
Our team is guided by three values: Driven, Humble, and Kind. For school groups, that means we take the stewardship of your students seriously, we listen to what your school actually needs, and we treat every person on board with grace and dignity.
Safety Is Where Hospitality Begins
You can’t host a great trip if Guests don’t feel safe. For school travel, safety isn’t a feature; it’s the foundation everything else is built on.
Professionally trained Host-Drivers. Every Eagle Host-Driver completes training covering safe coach operation, defensive driving, and the hospitality standards that make an Eagle trip feel different.
Real-time fleet technology. Our coaches are equipped with telematics that monitor driving behavior and vehicle location, giving our team visibility throughout your trip.
Disciplined maintenance. Every coach follows a preventive maintenance schedule, and Host-Drivers complete daily inspections before each trip. Any reported defect goes straight to our shop team.
We Know Atlanta’s Field Trip Map
Atlanta is one of the best field trip cities in the Southeast, and one of the trickiest to navigate with a full coach. Downtown traffic, tight venue loading zones, event-day road closures, and parking rules can turn a great itinerary into a stressful day. Our Host-Drivers and Hospitality Coordinators plan around all of it.
We regularly help schools reach Atlanta-area favorites like these:
| Destination | Great for |
|---|---|
| Georgia Aquarium | Life science, marine biology |
| Fernbank Museum of Natural History | Earth science, natural history |
| National Center for Civil and Human Rights | Civics, U.S. history |
| Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park | Civil rights, Georgia history |
| Atlanta History Center | Georgia and Southern history |
| Georgia State Capitol | Government, civics |
| Zoo Atlanta | Life science, conservation |
| Tellus Science Museum (Cartersville) | Geology, space, STEM |
| Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park | Civil War history |
| Stone Mountain Park | Georgia history, outdoor learning |
We know where to stage, when to leave campus to beat rush hour, and how to keep your schedule on track so students spend their day learning, not sitting in traffic.
Beyond Atlanta: Overnight and Multi-Day Trips
From middle school history trips to senior class adventures, many of our school partners travel well beyond the city. We host overnight and multi-day trips to destinations like Washington, D.C., Savannah, Chattanooga, the Great Smoky Mountains, and Orlando, as well as band, choir, and athletic travel to competitions across the region.
On longer trips, the Eagle difference matters even more. We plan Host-Driver hours carefully, keep your itinerary realistic, and stay in contact with trip leaders throughout. That way, your group arrives rested, on time, and ready to make the most of every stop.
“Shawn Graves was our bus driver taking our 5th graders to DC. He was ⭐️ amazing ⭐️. Our kids loved him! Every time they saw him bringing the bus around they chanted his name. He truly added so much to our trip! We can’t sing his praises enough”
What to Ask Any Charter Company Before Your Next School Trip
Whether you’re planning your first field trip or your fiftieth, these questions will help you choose a partner your students, parents, and administrators can trust:
- Are you properly licensed and insured? Ask for the company’s USDOT number and proof of insurance, and check its safety record on the FMCSA website.
- How are your drivers trained and supervised? Look for ongoing training and supervision, not just a license check.
- How do you monitor driver hours and fatigue? Electronic logging should be standard, especially for long or overnight trips.
- How are coaches maintained and inspected? Ask about preventive maintenance schedules and daily pre-trip inspections.
- Who do I call if something goes wrong? You should have a real person available before, during, and after the trip.
- Can you accommodate students with special needs? Ask early about accessibility options.
- Do you know my destinations? Local knowledge of venues, traffic, and loading zones saves time and stress.
At Eagle, we welcome every one of these questions. Being firm on safety and kind in how we serve are two sides of the same commitment.
