Rachel Greenwell
I have lived in the Rome, GA area most of my life, my family moved here from New England when I was a child. Although I went to college for computers, I have worked in a variety of places: medical, car sales, pharmacy, food and retail, until I found my passion for driving buses. In every job I have had, I always loved working with people. I also drive a special needs school bus during the day and work here at Eagle on weekends and holidays.
Q & A
- When you are not serving groups, what are your favorite things to do?
When I am not driving buses, my hobbies are nail art, cooking, spending time outside. I run a nail polish blog where I share my art and review upcoming nail polishes. I have done nail art since 2014 and also volunteer for special needs events locally doing nails.
- What is the most interesting trip you have ever been on?
I got to drive to an ATV park with an Air Force group, they not only let me tag along and ride around with them, I got to drive it like I stole it. I made a video of the experience and it’s on Instagram.
- What is your favorite movie, and why?
Arsenic and Old Lace. I love classic films, Cary Grant is one of my favorite actors, he has the best facial expressions! I also like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, it just makes me laugh so hard.
- What's your favorite part about driving a bus?
The people. I love interacting with the people who ride my bus. I love making people smile and laugh as well.
- If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Pause or slow down time. There are certain moments in life you wish that you could just enjoy just a little longer, I would love to be able to just slow down just a little to savor that memory.
